Hughes Dance Co - COMO & APPLECROSS
Score 3 from 2 review(s)
We are a very friendly but disciplined dance school and welcome all children to our classes. Most of the students are in primary school age but we are growing as they grow. Our students love Miss Shelby so come along and see for yourself. She has a strong dance background in all genres of dance and teaches all the classes with the help of a couple of student assistants. We offer a range of classes to all age groups from 6 years. These include jazz & tap combination classes, acrobatics, cheer, hip ...
Great dance school, awesome teacher.

28-11-2016

My girls have been coming to Hughes Dance School for 5 years now, my youngest was just 3 when she started. They both love coming to this dance school, and especially love Miss Shelby. She is great with the kids, they all have fun and enjoy it but like all schools, they are expected to behave, listen and follow instructions. My girls have tried all the genres that Miss Shelby teaches and they are keen to continue with all of them!! What I love about this dance school is that it's not as full on as some are, but it's still extremely professional in how it's all run, taught and managed. The end of year concert is fantastic!

Absolutely disgusted, stay away!!

I enrolled my daughters in Hughes "dance school" and the instructor Shelby was very rude! Within 10 minutes she'd made my kids cry (it was the youngest one's birthday too), was very unfriendly and rude, and not encouraging at all. Definitely in the wrong career. I've seen many dance schools and this one is the absolute worst!

Fantastic Martial Arts School

Determination, persistence, resilience. These classes have allowed me to set personal goals and work in a supportive environment where instructors and students encourage and help one another. Whilst you are always presented with instruction on how to improve your current skills, no one class is the same, you are kept on your toes and can't claim to be bored!

Taekwondo classes for 6 year olds, upwards. Participation promotes benefits, e.g. health, focus, confidence, respect for others and discipline. My primary school son has been attending for a few years now. Seems to have helped him. Worth checking out their initial obligation free class.

Services

18-03-2014

I have been at the service for 6 years and within my time at the service I have found the educators and the service management to be fantastic and are well educated professionals. Even though the centre is not pretty pretty with photos everywhere, it just goes to show the educators spend more time with the children rather then away doing curriculum planning and display. It is an older style centre but the children implement and maintain sustainability and are involved in the environment a great deal.
