Capoeira Kids Classes

    Dates: from 30 Nov -1 to 30 Nov -1

Capoeira is one of the most holistic physical activities that works all parts of the body, and allows practitioners to develop their sense of rhythm, coordination, self-control and self esteem. Also, as the training is relaxing and laid-back, it easily turns into an activity that is fun and alleviates the stresses of school and work. In their own respect, children not only learn to play Capoeira, but also learn to sing and play the traditional instruments that are a grand part of the beat that governs the rhythm of Capoeira. The art of Capoeira also improves childrens’ sense of emotional control, stimulating awareness of self-defence and goes against incentivising aggressive and violent behaviour. Capoeira can be used as a great potential learning tool to guide children in discovering their personality and sense of individuality whilst coming to respect and be a part of a nurturing and vibrant greater community. Various other benefits of Capoeira is the knowledge it brings of the Brazilian culture, its history and the stories that carry on messages of values that are important for growing youth. to be confirmed when booking

    Customer review from Yelp

I recently engaged Celebrate Cakes for my nephews 16th Birthday cake. It was a tough one as 16 year old boys can be hard to please but I really wanted the wow factor to hit with this one.

I put forward the challenge of creating a life like Xbox One Console and accessories. The result was outstanding. Not only was each intricate detail captured but the actual cake was divine tasting.

It was received with great enthusiasm and appreciation from the birthday boy. So much so, that he almost didn't want to cut into it!

After experiencing such as responsive service, with a great outcome I would highly recommend Celebrate Cakes to anyone that needs a cake for any special occasion. Very talented lady indeed.

My girl told me that she doesn't enjoy this club and that she'd rather meet with her friends once a week and do some skits with them because she doesn't learn or enjoy much at this club. But the club is a good way to get the kids out of the house for an hour a week! LOL!

    Mountain Bike Orienteering

    Dates: from 30 Nov -1 to 30 Nov -1

Mountain bike orienteering (MTBO) is a navigation sport suitable for participants of all ages and abilities. Like foot orienteering, the idea is to navigate your way around a series of checkpoints (controls) using a map and compass. Unlike foot orienteering, the idea is to ride a bike! The main difference is that in Australia, mountain bikes have to stay on tracks, so the style of navigation can be quite different to the cross-country navigation used in foot orienteering. Several courses are available, ranging from 10-30 km in length. At the top end of the field, competitors need good technical bike handling skills and the ability to navigate at speed. However, the shorter courses are easily achievable by beginners, non-mountain bikers and families. Junior(<21),full-time student, Concession $10 Adult $20 Group (2-5 participants) $30 Group (2 junior/concession) $20

    Nav Dash

    Dates: from 30 Nov -1 to 30 Nov -1

Nav Dash events, Orienteering WA's Sprint Orienteering Series are short distance (2-3.5 km's), usually held in a small, compact area with complex features, such as the buildings and passages of a university campus. While the navigation skills required are relatively easy – even for novices – at a slow jog or walking pace, the more serious competitors try to run their course at high speed. This makes the navigation much more demanding and it is easy to make small mistakes of a few seconds, which makes all the difference in these fast events! There will be several events in the 2015 Nav Dash Series at regular intervals during Autumn and Winter, culminating in the State Sprint Championships later in the year.

My 3yo daughter has been attending lessons this term and absolutely loves the classes! Sue is amazingly lovely and positive and the kids really respond to her. The classes cater for the age group but I can clearly see that the songs and activities are building a good framework for vocals as the kids mature. Highly recommend
