The leadership of the KWJRC is an amazingly committed bunch of men and women. It is a joy to see the kids develop in an environment fostering all the core values of Rugby Union. It is also a treat to see these leaders focus on the inclusion of girls and women. Love it.

Answer from Kiwi Hawthorn Junior Rugby Club on 08-05-2018:
Thanks Hugh, we're really proud of our girls in rugby program, made possible with the help of great local families like yours.

My son has played at Kiwi Hawthorn Junior Rugby Club and the support of coaches and his team mates is absolutely fantastic. I came from an AFL background, but I am certainly a convert now having been a part of this great club.

Thanks Lachie, it's been great to see the progress your boy has made in such a short time.

    Very inclusive club

    01-05-2018 by Simon Davidson

Kiwi Hawthorn Junior Rugby Club has been a very welcoming and inclusive club for our 4yr old son in his first year of rugby union. Communication and coaching has been great and even though our 4yr old is the youngest in the team by a few years, coaches have found ways to include him in games so that he enjoys and looks forward to each game..

Answer from Kiwi Hawthorn Junior Rugby Club on 08-05-2018:
Thanks Simon, we love the tenacity of your boy, he sets the example for all of our junior players!

    Awesome fun and team spirit

Kiwi Hawthorn is an amazing club, encouraging the girls and boys to have fun. The development of skills is just another benefit that they learn, without even knowing it. The coaches are extremely committed and approachable. Here lies the evidence of strong rugby team values, within a small rugby community.

Answer from Kiwi Hawthorn Junior Rugby Club on 08-05-2018:
Thanks Kris, we really appreciate your support and the contribution made by your family.

The participation of families within this club is wonderful. Everyone is included and supported to love and enjoy the game. The coaches are nurturing, enthusiastic and awesome team builders. The kids are interactive, enjoying themselves and learning how to play great Rugby! Would not find a better club to be a part of!

So glad we found this club......

    01-05-2018 by CT

Found this little gem of a club two years ago, when the Junior teams were being re-established. I'm so glad we did, as we have found it to be a wonderfully welcoming, friendly and inclusive club. Both our kids (1 boy, 1 girl) are playing now, and both myself and partner are volunteering. Both contact and non-contact forms of rugby are offered, so kids of all ages and abilities can play. Can highly recommend joining the Kiwi Hawthorn Juniors.

Answer from Kiwi Hawthorn Junior Rugby Club on 08-05-2018:
Thanks CT, you and your family have been instrumental in helping us grow, love your work!

Rugby in Victoria is a very inclusive sport which welcomes people of all shapes, sizes, sexes and abilities. The Kiwi Hawthorn Junior Rugby Club is the greatest example of that you could hope to find. The club caters for girls and boys, having pioneered the girls competition and also provides contact and non-contact versions for boys and girls - all in an atmosphere of fun with a real community atmosphere. If you are looking for a junior sport for your kids, Kiwi Hawthorn Rugby is about as good as it gets.

Thanks Phil, we'll do our very best to earn that praise!
