Classical Temple

The Classical Temple offers professional violin (all levels) and piano (beginners) tuition to children, teens and adults. Beginners are always welcome, and we offer half-price first lesson in a well-equipped home studio where you can try a violin in your size, and play on a real upright Yamaha piano. Lesson are coordinated by Vessela Evrova-Wassenaar, an accomplished music professional and violin tutor, having trained at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music high school and Academie Peter Benoit in Belgium. She has over thirty-five years of playing the violin, a good foundation in piano, and solid experience in teaching. Lessons follow the AMEB structure and repertoire with various Suzuki elements incorporated at starting levels, and are geared towards either preparing students for AMEB grade examinations, or simply becoming confident in playing their instrument. We learn to read music from the start, and cover numerous aspects of music theory (key & time signatures, tempo, dynamics, rhythm, chords and intervals, etc.) in line with our practical requirements and understanding of music. More in-depth theory is optional with the use of recommended texts. Our lessons ensure a tailored, professional and progressive learning approach in a fun, safe and motivating environment covering a large range of classical repertoire. Most of all, our sessions aim at awakening the student's curiosity, love and appreciation of beautiful music and music performance.
