Best martial arts centre I have been to by far. My kids love it and we couldn't be happier. Very professional instructors and a great clean facility.

Practical, high energy self defence training

I joined Gary Martin Kung fu and recommend it massively. I did kickboxing for 18 months and thought I was a real hot shot until me and my girlfriend were hasled by a group of locals in Bali. I didn't have a clew how to deal with a group or a knife, totally demoralising. I changed over to Kung fu because it deals with these types of threats. Gary is a hard trainer but it's worth it. The other thing I found training with Gary is I feel a lot more mentally dialed in now. More positive. Great school.

Highly recommended martial arts school.

My husband and I are huge martial arts fans and with our work postings we have had the privelige of training in many of the worlds most recommended schools. When we returned back to Aus we set about finding a school local we could join and stick with to achieve high ranks. We were both dissapointed to find that a lot of the schools were really fitness/ weight loss sessions being sold as martial arts. If we wanted that we could go to any gym in any suburb. We wanted real martial arts that gave us an interesting and challenging journey of learning. We found all this and more ( including fitness ) at the Gary Martin Kung fu Centre. Absolutely excellent.

First rate in every aspect.

I looked at quite a few different martial arts schools before joining Gary Martin Kung fu Centre. Very impressed. High standards and excellent tuition methods, Gary is very approachable and showed me his qualifications and lineage when I inquired. He has massive experience, and it shows in the extremely high standards of the students at the school. The school is also Government Accredited.

The top for fitness and self defence.

Excellent martial arts school. Very popular. Really good fitness training combined in the martial arts training, which itself is very practical. Excellent pricing. High standards of tuition. Gary Martin is extremely motivating and inspiring. The classes are very positive. Around excellent.

Iconic martial arts school

It would be easy to underestimate the huge achievement of Gary Martin to build up and then maintain the biggest most successful martial arts school in Australia over a 36 year period. His dedication must be incredible. I can't talk highly enough of Gary because he helped me turn my life around, as I know he has done for hundreds if not thousands of other people as well. Gary is one of those rare people who has a genuine concern for other people. Everyone raves about his super martial arts abilities and his teaching skills, both of which are true, but it's his love to see people get the most out of their lives I most appreciate about him,

Without honour: Condoning antisocial behaviour

The despicable reputation in the martial arts community is well deserved. While they may teach how to fight, there is no focus on discipline, honour and respect. Teaching people how to fight and not developing ideals of empathy, not having any repercussions of using martial arts out of context (i.e. bullying) is creating and condoning negative social behaviour. Advise would be to keep children clear of this gym and everything it stands for.
