We offer fun and dynamic drama programs for children to develop confidence, performance skills, communication and creativity as well as having a lot of fun! Kids Up Front run after school drama classes for children throughout the North Shore, Ryde, Inner West and Hills District in Sydney. Our after school drama lessons for junior students (Kindy to Year 2) participate in a themed lesson performed for each other each week. Our senior students (Year 3 +) develop performance skills in the first half of the year through improvisation drama games and scene work. In the second half of the year they collaborate with their teacher on a group devised piece to be performed at a real theatre. For many of our students this is the highlight of their year as they shine on stage in front of a live audience. Working together in drama means listening to each other and accepting and extending each others ideas thus helping children develop good social skills and confidence in presenting their own ideas. Developing confidence, creativity and communication skills are very important life skills whatever path in life they choose to take. Our specialised School Holiday 4-in-1 Communication Workshops are provided as (In-Person 2 day) / (Online as 5 day) as a full immersive experience for the kids to tap into their creativity, build impromptu speaking skills amongst peers and feel inspired and charged amongst some lively debates! We combine public speaking, creative writing, debating and drama activities in a two- day workshop to increase exposure to students communication skills in different genres; demonstrating to them how each genre of communication enhances the next to ultimately help them unleash their potential and express themselves with confidence. Join us for an unforgettable week of fun, music, friendship and creativity! Over 4 Days, students will dive into acting, singing and dancing as they work on scenes, songs and choreography from Broadway & West End Musicals. At the end of the week, we'll culminate their work into a showcase for all friends and family to come and watch and support our young artists. The workshop will not be a full stage production of a single musical, but rather a montage of different musical highlights selected to learn and practice specific musical theatre skills. DATES: Mon 24th - Friday 28th June 2024 TIMES: 9AM - 4PM every day WHERE: PIP Theatre, Milton COST: $420 WHO: Ages 6+ (all experience levels welcome) SHOWCASE: 28th April @ 3PM WHAT TO EXPECT: Students will spend their days being immersed fully into all the three Performing Arts disciplines! We'll workshop scripts and monologues, learn choreography, sing songs and learn all about healthy vocal techniques, harmonies and projection. Students will receive one-on-one coaching on their vocal, dance and acting skills, as well as work in experience-level groups of each. The teachers also will perform in a special showcase and hold a Q&A session for students about the theatre and music industry during one lunchtime - this is a great opportunity for our older students who are interested in a career in the arts to ask any questions! We’ll have morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea breaks each day (food is not provided, please ensure students bring enough food with them). The show will be on Friday afternoon at 3PM. Circus Latino is a dynamic and exciting show which aims to thrill and captivate audiences of all ages. Featuring talented performers from South America and Australia, you will be amazed at our daring aerial acts, marvel at the tricks performed with fire, hoops and laugh at our hilarious clown, maybe even become part of the show yourself by volunteering to come up on stage. Argentinean dancers and Latin music throughout give Circus Latino its South American flavor, this combined with artistic and dramatic acts and circus favorites make Circus Latino a unique and entertaining experience for all.

We have a few vacancies for Term 2 at Melody Makers. Each Friday morning during Term 2 we will have a 30-min music class followed by an hour of free play. Children and their carers participate in the music class together, singing, dancing, exploring percussion instruments, and listening to a bible story. We ask parents to bring morning tea for their children, and grown-ups are invited to have a cuppa and relax while the children play.

Throughout the year SHAKE also gets involved with various school events like the New Farm State School Fete and Brisbane Central State School Activity Day. This gives students the opportunity to share their love for dance with friends and classmates as well as the wider community.

our youngest dancers love to move and groove and that’s just what we have planned for their weekly classes! Our innovative choreography is designed for maximum variety - incorporating many dance styles such as jazz, ballet, hip hop, contemporary, aerobics and even yoga. Our 4-12yrs not only develop physical strength but also mental strength - perfect for growing minds and bodies! For $20 new members can trial 4 classes over a 2 week period. This is great for our youngest members who can sometimes be a little shy or nervous in new environments and helps them ease in over a longer period of time. This offer is available to all new members at anytime of the year.

Seaview Calisthenics College at Henley Beach provides low-cost calisthenics classes for children and adults of all ages and abilities. Combining elements of dance, gymnastics, acro and theatre, this Australian artistic sport promotes strength, fitness, coordination, flexibility, musicality, memory, confidence, teamwork and lots of fun and friendship. Two free Come'n'Try classes are offered to all new participants.

The North Coastal Childrens Community Choir rehearsals start Wednesday 26 April 2023 to Dec 2023 at Quinns Mindarie community centre, 2 Quinns road, Mindarie. Rehearsals are every Wednesday:- Seniors age 9yrs to 16 yrs 3pm till 3.45 or 4.45 till 5.30pm Juniors age 5yrs to 8yrs 4pm till 4.30pm No auditions required has Vocal training is given. Membership 10.00 a year. Weekly contribution 3.00. The choir for boys and girls is a non profit association supported by, city of Wanneroo, Lotterywest and local businesses.
