The end of year Gala performance is a special occasion every year at our studio – it’s when we take all the choreography, coordination and skills that we’ve learnt throughout the year and put it on display for our friends and family to see!

Join us for a friendly and relaxed 6 week hula hoop course for fun, fitness or even performance! It doesn't matter which level you're at, with 13 years of experience we can offer skills/moves to suit you. Even if you've never tried hooping before, come along and meet other lovely hoopers and learn how to find your flow in the hoop! We'll start each class with a warm-up and some basics that every hooper needs to practice to stay hoop-fit, then we'll learn tricks both on the body and off. And of course, we'll practice joining your moves together so you can eventually flow flawlessly in the hoop! ​ Absolute beginners welcome Modifications to suit each level from absolute beginner to intermediate Hoops available for purchase ​No experience needed Adult and teen classes (ages 13 years+) ​

As part of an east coast tour to Brisbane and Melbourne, Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) alumnae Lilly Yang (Flute), Rachel Lau (Flute) and Amanda Pang (Piano) come together as the Beyond Time Trio to present a beautiful afternoon program of wonderful compositions for two flutes & piano. Come and share the love of music with your child with a one-on-one session. I sing and play guitar and there's moving to music and fun. It's tailored to the age and needs of your child and it's paced so that you and your child get the maximum benefit. It's excellent for children who may be overwhelmed in a group setting, but also gets them ready for when they want or need to be in a group setting later on. There's puppets and props and singing and dancing and it's top fun!

Each Friday morning during the term we have a 30-min music class followed by an hour of free play. Children and their carers participate in the music class together. Each class is structured to include singing, moving to music, exploring percussion instruments, and listening to a bible story. We ask parents to bring morning tea for their children, and grown-ups are invited to have a cuppa and relax while the children play. Please get in touch if you'd like to come for a free trial lesson.

Throughout the year SHAKE also gets involved with various school events like the New Farm State School Fete and Brisbane Central State School Activity Day. This gives students the opportunity to share their love for dance with friends and classmates as well as the wider community.

The North Coastal Childrens Community Choir rehearsals start Wednesday 12 Feb 2025 at Quinns Mindarie community centre, 2 Quinns road, Mindarie. Rehearsals are every Wednesday:- Seniors age 9yrs to 16 yrs 3.15 till 4.15 Juniors age 5yrs to 8yrs 4.30 till 5.15 No auditions required has Vocal training is given. Membership 15.00 a year. Weekly contribution 3.00. The choir for boys and girls is a non profit association supported by, city of Wanneroo, Lotterywest and local businesses.

Kids Up Front are experts in running Drama Classes and Performing Arts Holiday Camps having done so for over 20 years in Australia and New Zealand. We offer fun and dynamic drama programs for children to develop confidence, performance skills, communication and creativity as well as having a lot of fun! Register via our website for a Free Trial Drama Class, or add your child to the waiting list! Kids Up Front run after school drama classes for children throughout the North Shore, Ryde, Inner West and Hills District in Sydney. Our after school drama lessons for junior students (Kindy to Year 2) participate in a themed lesson performed for each other each week. Our senior students (Year 3 +) develop performance skills in the first half of the year through improvisation drama games and scene work. In the second half of the year they collaborate with their teacher on a group devised piece to be performed at a real theatre. For many of our students this is the highlight of their year as they shine on stage in front of a live audience. Working together in drama means listening to each other and accepting and extending each others ideas thus helping children develop good social skills and confidence in presenting their own ideas. Developing confidence, creativity and communication skills are very important life skills whatever path in life they choose to take. Music is so much more than just playing an instrument. The music skills of listening, understanding, creating and enjoying music play a key role in a child’s development and should be experienced by all children. Using action songs, body percussion, story-telling and guided listening activities, our teacher will engage your child in a musical world that can lead to a life enriched by music. Term starts Saturday 3rd May or Wednesday 7th May, and will run for 8 weeks. Open to students aged 3-10, the Kids at the Con classes serve as a fantastic introduction to music class where students are engaged and are free to explore their musical creativity in a welcoming and non-competitive environment. No prior experience necessary!
