Biographies

Katia Pronin was born in St.Petersburg where she obtained her DipMus with High Distinction and BMus from St.Petersburg Rimskiy-Korsakof Conservatory of Music.
After her arrival in Australia in 2006, she won a Fellowship in Australian Ballet Company where she worked as a pianist for 1 year. Since then she held a position of employment in Victorian College of the Arts(Melbourne) as an accompanist in the Dance Department.
From 2008 she has also been invited to work in major opera companies in Melbourne as a repetiteur. As an opera singer, she performed in major roles with opera companies and in concerts.
In 2016 Katia moved to NSW and was invited to work with Opera Australia as a repetiteur. She is also running her private Music Studio in Castle Hill.

Dmitri Pronin is an accomplished tenor and professional actor and coach of Russian origin.
He has performed extensively as a singer and actor in Australia, Europe and Asia. His leading roles as tenor include operas La Clemenca di Tito, Il Corsaro, Eugene Onegin, La Traviata, Tosca, Otello, La Boheme, Cavalleria Rusticana and Carmen as well as a wide variety of roles in theatre, film and television both in Australia and in Russia.
As an acting coach Dmitri worked closely with Fringe Festival (Melbourne), National Theatre(Melbourne), Opera and Ballet companies, and for many successful projects including the winner of Palm d'Or (2011) in the short-film category Deeper than yesterday" directed by Ariel Kleiman, Partisan (2015) with Vincent Cassel.

    Excellent and knowledgeable teacher
    Katia is an exemplary teacher. Her profound knowledge in music and her encouraging teaching style makes any child to love music. My daughter is blessed to have Katia as her teacher. My daughter is more enthusiastic to practice piano everyday now and able to score high in her school music lessons too.

    Katia Pronin is a really nice music teacher. She teaches students how to play the piano easily. My children like going to their piano lessons unlike others who are reluctant. Katia can teach children in diffrent music ways. She teaches diffrent types of music not only classic but others like jazz or contempoary. I really recommend her as a music teacher.

    fantastic teacher
    Katia is an incredible teacher. She is not only teaching pieces but also nurturing music taste to her students. Her high quality of teaching is based on her own high level of musicianship. My daugher stop playing piano after passing AMEB G6 for a year. Katis made my daugher's restart much easy, as she has amazing teaching skills and makes her lesson enjoyable. I am grad having Katia as my daugher's piano teacher and I can't recommend her high enough!

    The best piano teacher
    Katia is a wonderful piano teacher. She combines her passion for music with a calm, patient approach to teaching and a sincere interest in helping her students follow their individual goals and passions. My son always comes away from his lessons feeling excited about the piece he is working on and clear about what he wants to achieve before his next lesson. I am extremely grateful to Katia for the skill, confidence and passion she has nurtured in my son over the past few months and cannot recommend her highly enough.
