Advanced Youth Drama (10-17yrs)
The advanced Acting course for teens, is specifically designed for those that have a passion, drive & an enthusiasm for Acting. The course is only open to those with previous experience, and all students must pass through the audition process to gain a place in this course. Auditions are held twice a year.
All students must attend 80% of all classes and be prepared to make a two-term commitment. Please take time to consider your own circumstances carefully before auditioning for the course.
This class is recognition of talent and dedication by the participants, but cannot be taken as a stand-alone class. All participants must make a commitment to Point Break Drama, and agree to continue in at least one other Youth acting class, at Point Break Drama to qualify.

Point Break Drama’s production of As You Like It, will be a warm, fun & contemporary adaptation of one of Shakespeare’s most popular comedies with a cast of teenagers and young adults.
Synopsis
After a recent board of education enquiry forced the removal of Headmaster and senior staff, a new management team led by Duke Frederick have imposed a strict disciplinarian regime.
In an attempt to offer an alternative, the deposed Headmaster Duke senior (and associated staff ) have set up a forest school dedicated to a more alternative teaching approach including Yoga, meditation and other creative outlets.
With the change in staff at Arden Grammar causing pain and division within the student body, Rosalind & best friend Celia embark on a journey to be reunited with her Father at the forest school. Meanwhile love begins to blossom between the now banished Orlando, and Ganymede (a cross-dressing Rosalind). Will balance & power be returned to its rightful owner, and will love ultimately find a way in the face of adversity?

One of Australia’s most experienced & prolific actors is coming to Point Break Drama to share his wealth of knowledge with teen students in the Monologue bootcamp course.
With over 25 years of industry experience, Felix Williamson has starred opposite some of Australia’s biggest names including Leonardo Dicaprio in “The Great Gatsby”, Richard Roxburgh in “Hawke” mini series, Bryan Brown & John Goodman in “Dirty Deeds” and Felix recently starred in “Underbelly Razor”. He has starred & appeared in many Sydney Theatre company and Bell Shakespeare productions.

Point Break Drama Acting School is excited to announce the return of the highly successful School Holiday Acting / Drama workshop Intensive, in the Winter School holidays for kids & Teens.
The Holiday Drama workshop on the northern beaches, is designed to challenge children & teenagers, with new ideas about acting and performance, and give them tastes of different areas.
Point Break Drama’s Holiday acting program is an in-depth acting program where participants will move through a series of different classes each day of the workshop, under the tutelage of professional actors.
Once again the course will be split into two age groups. Kids (7-10yrs) and Teens (11-17yrs).
The School holiday Drama workshop will take place late in the school holidays on Thursday 10th & Fri 11th July, 2014 from 9am – 4pm on each day.

This course will develop acting, improvisation and audition techniques for the camera, whilst giving youth (11-17yrs) a grounding in basic acting techniques.
Teens will be taught a step by step audition process, and how to conduct themselves professionally at castings. With the continual development and practice of these skills, youth will approach the casting process with greater confidence and flexibility.
