Beautiful area, child unfriendly operators

09-07-2012

Magnificent national park, beaches and bushland. Appalling campground management, the new operators have changed the size of the tent sites to allow small dome type tents only. Larger frame or multi dome type family tents will not fit in the areas allowed. Also beware of the camp ground operator/manager. We found him to be very interfering and officious. In order to have an enjoyable time we needed to be very aware of his extensive and sometimes random set of rules. In spite of all attempts to stay out of the manager's way he reduced several of the children in our group to tears berating them for rule infractions while they were playing. In all an interesting spot with only one blight.
