Mixed Martial Arts for everyone

Mixed Martial Arts is a combination of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Wrestling, Boxing, Kick-boxing, Muay-Thai, and several other Martial arts.

Tweed Coast MMA is not your typical (Dojo) Martial arts academy. We pride ourselves in firstly teaching the right technique and fighting skills with real life scenarios all whilst maintaining an environment of encouragement and a positive training experience.


The founder and head coach is Robert Kimberley, one of the first pioneers of Mix Martial Arts in Australia, with more than 20 years experience and 16 years experience in Brazilian Jujitsu. Rob was also one of the first Australians to live full time in Brazil and train with the Gracie family in Rio where he obtained most of his expertise in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Throughout his long MMA career he has also been head judge, commentator and coach for multiple MMA professional and amateur competitions.

    The best club on the coast,learned so much from Rob that I will be forever grateful, even now that Im not leaving in Australia I still recall all thd learned with him in my training, I traveled the world traning in many big Gyms.Thanks for the sence of community and friendship.
