A place where children can make a mess, be creative and investigate the world around them! Children get the chance to explore and experience real scientific equipment in a safe environment.

Based in Frankston South, The Science Shed was started to share the wonders of science and excitement with kids. The resident scientist has a passion for engaging and educating children of all ages.

Holiday workshops at The Science Shed are designed to inspire creativity whilst learning through discovery. Alternatively you can have The Science Shed come to you for a party or event.

Holiday Workshops:
All holiday workshops include exciting demonstrations and then plenty of time for your child to get their hands into real science. Our workshop sizes are limited to ensure maximum experience and participation for each child.
Bookings are essential.

Parties:
Looking for a party with a difference? Children love the magic of science as the Scientist shows the audience some fun and engaging tricks of Science. Children can dress up in real lab coats and glasses and experience their own hands on experiments. Each child enters the world of science to explore and have fun.

About The Scientist:
The Science Shed is hosted by a dynamic, fully qualified and practising science teacher. Our scientist has over 20 years experience teaching Science and entertaining audiences with her passion for Science and children.

Our scientist is a VIT (Victorian Institute of Teaching) registered teacher and enjoys engaging with kids and has a current police check. The safety of your children remains our highest priority and experiments are designed for maximum impact whilst retaining high safety standards. Our scientist is also First Aid trained.
