Our mission at APA is to give young performers high quality training, developing their
vocal & movement skills, artistic flare and confidence, in an encouraging and supportive
space.

APA is truly one-of-a-kind, Perths only contemporary youth choir that prioritises students
performing songs THEY love as, unapologetically, themselves!
We work towards two full production-scale concerts every year, with lighting & sound
design and costumes. The choir performs 15-20 songs theyve learnt over the semester
to a live audience. APA has performed at the Astor Theatre, Murdoch's Nexus Theatre,
The Rosemount Hotel, Mandurah Performing Arts Centre and Margaret River Heart.

Students are taught a range of impressive harmonies as a group, composed by our tutors
to current and classic pop songs. If they wish, they are then also presented with the
opportunity to audition for solo vocal parts in a supportive environment. We help students
develop their rhythm to execute choreography that ranges from soulful grooving to
intricate & precise, keeping them fit while having fun!

The Australian Pop Academy has blossomed life-long friendships, as our students have
the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and other music lovers, working
as a team to create show-stopping performances. This isn't your average youth choir!
