With over 30 years of experience teaching guitar and bass, and formal music and teaching qualifications, the benefits of learning to play guitar, bass and drums with me include:
20 minute lessons for 5 to 7 year olds.
Essential knowledge and technique to play well.
Learning to read music.
A focus on classical/fingerpicking style from the beginning to acquire essential technique, using a combination of Suzuki, Kodaly and Orff Schulwerk methods.
Exposure to both acoustic and electric guitar techniques and styles, such as rock, blues, jazz, flamenco, and latin.
Individual programs structured for each student, based on their age, learning level and tastes in music styles.
Progress reports twice a year.
Recitals held twice a year, performing to parents, friends and other students.
