Physie is a dance sport which combines a range of movement skills including basic ballet, aerobics, dance, gymnastics and pilates, into one fun sport! Physie is made up of marching and several exercises that are choreographed to modern music according to age and ability, promoting fitness, flexibility, confidence, friendship, teamwork and good sportsmanship. Physie is open to all girls and ladies aged 2 and up.
Erskine Park Physical Culture & Dance is an affiliated club of Western Zone Physical Culture & Dance.
Routines are choreographed according to the age and ability of the group and are taught to each club.
Girls practice these exercises throughout the year to prepare them for end of year competitions.
Competitions are very friendly, and are an exciting experience for everyone. Girls only compete with girls around their same age and ability.
Western Zone Physical Culture & Dance and its affiliated clubs, are all non-profit. This means that all teachers are volunteers and your classes can be kept at a minimal cost!
Classes are held on Monday afternoons/evenings at Clairgate Public School, Colorado Drive, St Clair.
COST
Registrations commence at the beginning of February. Annual registration fees are $55.00 for 3-4 years, and $80.00 for girls and ladies aged 5 and up. These costs are inclusive of the Western Zone Registration Fee and Sports & Public Liability Insurance.
Class fees are charged in 3 X term installments or at one, discounted annual fee:
3-4s 3 X $45 or 1 X $120
5-17s 3 X $55 or 1 X $150
18 + 3 X $65 or 1 X $180

Western Zone Physie competitions, require all girls in their age group to wear the same leotard. These leotards are purchased through the Zone. The cost of leotards are around $47 for 3-8 years, and $55.00 for 9-17 years, and $60 for ladies 18+. Silver ballet shoes (about $70) and shimmers (about $15) must also be worn to competitions.
