David J Powderly LRSL, ALCM(TD) is a professional internationally registered guitar tutor originally from Ireland. He is an examiner for the Registry of Guitar Tutors @ London College of Music and now lives in Wollongong, Australia.

He has been playing the guitar since he was 10 years of age and started to teach at 15 years old. He attained guitar grades through the Registry of Guitar Tutors @ London College of Music, achieved a Teaching Diploma and Associate Diploma specialising in guitar teaching.

In 2016 he attained a Licentiate in Music Instrument teaching from Rockschool, which is the highest level instrument teaching qualification awarded internationally, and is awarded by the AMEB in Australia.

To further his studies he continues to research in pedagogy, psychology and any applicable areas.
