    Richard Barnes Sensei is the founder of Aikido in the Northern Territory of Australia and is still the Senior Aikido teacher in our Dojo. He has continued to teach and share his passion for Aikido for the past 50 years.

    Our instructors are 2nd Degree Black Belts and above and they are normally assisted by several assistants to ensure that the lessons are effective and safe. We have a family oriented environment with parents who are training in the adults classes joining in with their children.

    I have been attending the Shinkondo Aikido Dojo on and off for a number of years as my injuries allow. The instructors are second to none and do a great job of working within the physical capabilities of everyone who attends - whether they are young or old!
