Join Kevin Sheedy, Rupert McCall, Tim Jackman and Getano Bann as we celebrate the importance of dads reading with their kids. There’ll be sing-alongs, story time, craft stations and more. Dads Read is a State Library of Queensland initiative, raising awareness of the importance and benefits of fathers and families reading with their children. Reading with your children not only helps them to develop a love of reading, but also strengthens their literacy skills, models positive reading behaviour and builds children’s self-esteem around reading which is a fundamental life skill.
