This workshop aims to develop the peace through which we positively manifest. We will help you bring greater awareness to the contrast between your usual self and your mindful self and the effect that this has on your horse, both from the ground and mounted. This program will increase your capacity to find inner stillness in order to feel your horse, help him balance physically and emotionally, and improve your relationship with horses, people and self. This workshop will include discussion and simulation sessions for both auditors and participants with horses, as well as practical sessions for those with their own horse while auditors observe. Some quiet mounted work is scheduled, but if you do not wish to sit on or ride your horse, please let us know so that we can accommodate you in the schedule. The ‘A Matter of Trust’ Workshop is focused primarily on participants with horses. As there are a strictly limited number of places for participants with horses, auditors are also welcome. We limit the number of places for participants with horses so as to make it safe, comfortable, personally relevant and enjoyable for you and your horse. We have a limited number of horses available for participants without their own horse. To book this option please contact Jo about your level of understanding and experience with horses. These horses are available for groundwork only and are not available for riding. Jo and Kailie are both students of James French. We have been working in this genre with animals for many years ourselves. Lunch, refreshments, morning and afternoon tea is provided. Lactose and gluten free options will be available. Breaks will be outdoors at the nearby playground on Gilderthorpe avenue, with a picnic & play in Varna Park at lunchtime (lunchtime supervision is included when booking two workshops) We also offer "pre" and "post" care options 8:30-9am and 4pm-5pm (supervision only, kids play games, free drawing etc) CRAZY PAPER COSTUMES Let’s make some crazy giant paper sack costumes! These full body costumes are easy to make and so much fun. Go mad with paper, recycled materials, sharpies, streamers and all sorts of fun materials to decorate your costume. Kids can make a dragon, monster, alien, robot, dinosaur, butterfly, animal, whatever they please! ABSTRACT CANVAS ART Learn how to create a richly layered abstract canvas using techniques such as layering colour, scraping, taping, stencilling and more. Kids will take home a vibrant canvas to hang on their wall and some new artistic skills. Taught by Art Educator Danielle Falk (PM)

Learn different handbuilding techniques to make tasty masterpieces. Pieces will be made from airdrying clay and can be painted when dry. (Work can also be professionally fired for an extra fee). Children will get the chance for some “Free clay play” if time allows. WOOD BLOCK SCULPTURES Create colourful wooden block sculptures by sanding, painting and decorating wooden offcuts with chalk markers. Discover the simple pleasure of working with wood and learn to make a balanced 3 dimensional work. Taught by ceramicist Isis Star (AM) and Art Educator Danielle Falk (PM)

We will then turn our papers into a gorgeous frame-worthy collaged landscape. This workshop is super-easy but the results are spectacular! Taught by Art Educator Danielle Falk

We will be making spotty watercolour abstract paintings, fabulous dotty paper lanterns and creating our own “obliteration room”. ROBOT PUPPET WORKSHOP Make a funny robot stick puppet with real jointed arms and legs using a heap of exciting shiny and recycled materials: cardboard, foil, bottle-tops, bubblewrap, streamers, sharpies, stickers, sequins and so on. Kids will also get the chance to perform a little puppet show. Taught by Art Educator Danielle Falk

Children will get the chance for some “Free clay play” if time allows. DONUTS & ICECREAMS Have fun creating observational drawings & watercolours from real donuts! Then make giant cardboard donuts and icecreams covered in tasty (recycled material) sprinkles. Lots of opportunities for fun photos in this workshop!
