Over 30 Years of experience.
TWA originated in 1985 when Ken Taylor, previous manager of Radio 2GB and Festival Records invited Tammy Worth a senior student of the Roberts Academy to take on the role of Principal. The following year, student numbers had doubled and the Tammy Worth Academy was born!

The Tammy Worth Academy is dedicated to performing arts training for all students with the highest quality of excellence. We provide a full spectrum of knowledge and technique to help students build strong foundations, whilst also developing self-confidence, discipline and teamwork. It is our goal to instill in each student a love and appreciation of the performing arts.

The Tammy Worth Academy students study RAD Ballet, ADA Jazz & Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Acrobatics, Singing, Drama & Musical Theatre. The Academy caters to a wide range of ages and abilities. Classes are taught by professional teachers in a caring environment leading to students gaining excellent results in all official examinations.
Students are selected for special Showgroups to compete in Eisteddfod and Showcase competitions.

Students have starred in TV series The Sleepover Club, Heartbreak High, Home & Away, Wildside, All Saints, and many TV commercials. Students have worked professionally in theatrical performances of Annie, The Sound of Music, Show Boat, Oliver, and Midsummer Night’s Dream with Opera Australia. Students have also performed with The Royal Ballet and The Australian Ballet and The Australian Youth Ballet.

    Wonderful teachers!!!
    My daughter have been attending classes at Tammy Worth Academy for 4 years since she was 5. It provides a lovely and friendly environment to learn dance with a high standard of training. Miss Tammy and her qualified instructors work tirelessly to create a positive experience for their students. My daughter’s confidence and love for dancing have grown throughout the years. She has also made friends and participated successfully in RAD exams. As a parent I love being part of the TWA community!

    Just what a dance school should be
    Tammy Worth Academy is a great dance school with absolutely amazing teachers and a very approachable and caring director (a rare find!). Every student is looked after and taught so very well, without any biases. Teachers are invested in the dancing journey of their students and take personal interest in their success. All this comes from a parent who has experienced several dance schools before finding TWA, so it really is true.

    The place to dance!
    Tammy Worth Academy (TWA) has played an important role in my daughter’s life. She has followed in her mother’s footsteps by attending the same dance school her mother did many years ago! We have both had the opportunity to be taught by amazing teachers who have instilled the discipline of dance and core values in a caring and friendly environment. My daughter has developed wonderful friendships within the TWA family and loves attending her classes each week. TWA has created such a positive environment for my daughter that she continues to flourish with the guidance of not only her teachers but her dancing peers. Everyone encourages and supports each other and they are challenged to dance to their full potential. The end of year concert is an excellent showcase of the students work throughout the year.

    My daughter is in her 5th year with TWA and we could not be happier! Teachers are all amazing and all dances & costumes are age appropriate!

    WONDERFUL ENVIRONMENT & OPPORTUNITIES
    My eldest daughter began dancing with TWA in the year 2000 at the age of 4. Soon to be followed by her two younger sisters. The girls have enjoyed many years of RAD and ADA syllabus work along with many performances at end of year Concerts, South Australian Youth Ballet, The Australian Ballet School, Eisteddfods, Talent Quests and Showcase Nationals all with outstanding results as well as teaching opportunities. Dancing with the Tammy Worth Academy has given my daughters confidence, grace and the ability to fit into any situation. Teachers over the years have created a nurturing environment and have taken the time to get to know all my daughters individually. Miss Tammy Worth (Principal) has always seen to the needs of each child and ensures that all students and families are happy and involved within the school, by interacting with parents on a regular basis. Miss Tammy always has the student’s interests at heart. Thank you Miss Tammy for enabling my children to grow up and continue within the Tammy Worth Academy.
