Sommerville Valley Tourist Park is set on 52 hectares, surrounded by beautiful scenery on Storm King Dam. There is ample room for group activities and children to run around, fly kites, and play Volley Ball or other games.
The Park is adjacent Storm King Dam, with a small dirt boat ramp. There is a larger concrete ramp in the public picnic area not too far away. We also have canoes and tinnies available for hire. This fresh water dam is stocked with Golden Perch (Yellow Belly), Silver Perch & Spangle Perch, so fishing is always an option.
There is an abundance of wildlife - kangaroos, wallabies, possums, lizards, parrots, cockatoos, pelicans, swans. Why not try your hand at Spot Lighting.
As the park is away from the town lights it is perfect for watching brilliant sunsets or stargazing the night skies.
Campfires are permitted within the park (subject to fire bans). Or you can gather in the Camp Kitchen / Recreation Room for an evening meal and activities.
