Be a responsible bunny this Easter! Recycling foil wrappers from eggs means a lot less rubbish entering our waterways!
Easter is just around the corner! Did you know the foil wrapping from the Easter eggs you eat this Easter can be recycled? Chocolate Easter eggs are typically wrapped in coloured foil and come in cardboard or plastic holders — all of which can be recycled across Australia. Aluminium foil is one of the most recyclable of the products, as it saves the most energy if we do recycle it. In Australia it is usually made back into more aluminium. The Easter egg foil could end up being the aluminium in a can of soft drink or could end up being more aluminium foil or an aluminium baseball bat or toy. We always like people to scrunch up their foil into fairly big balls. So once you've eaten your Easter eggs, and there's no real chocolate left on it, scrunch them up into a big ball and pop the foil into your yellow recycling bin.

It was wonderful to introduce the children from AEIOU Bray Park to our animal ambassadors and to see the delight on their faces meeting Rainbow the freshwater turtle. Our incursions are very sensory based so they're especially relevant to children with special needs.
AEIOU Bray Park enjoyed their annual incursion from Ocean Life Education on Friday. It's a fantastic opportunity for the children to learn about the natural world around them, develop an appreciation for our marine life, and understand why we need to care for it. Five stars little superstars :-)
