Central Coast Music Therapy is presenting a School Holiday Group Music Therapy Session. The session is tailored to the needs of the group members and is designed and led by a Registered Music Therapist. Group music therapy sessions are for individuals of all levels of abilities to make music and to develop and practice valuable social skills in a structured setting.
Music has an incredible power to reach and make connections between individuals. It can affect our bodies, our minds and our feeling. It breaks down barriers and helps to build bridges of communication. Music therapy works to achieve non-musical goals by using music.

In a group music therapy session some of the following goals can be addressed:
• Social skills such as turn taking and sharing
• Fine and gross motor skills
• Identifying emotions and emotional management
• Communications skills
• Sense of accomplishment

In this school holiday music therapy group session some of the following may be included in the session:
• Drumming
• Instrument exploration
• Singing
• Movement to music
• Sharing and turn taking songs
• song exploration

Limited to 10 participants per group.
Cost: $42.00
