    Self-Defence Classes for Beginners

    On Tuesday, 9th February, 2016, First Tae Kwon Do Nedlands will be providing free introductory self-defence classes at the John Leckie Pavilion in Nedlands. The children's class will be from 5:30-6:30 PM and the adults' class (including adolescents) will be from 6:30-7:30 PM. You will not need to bring anything; just wear a t-shirt and tracksuit pants, or other suitable general sports clothing. These introductory classes are open to anyone (aged 6 years+) who is able to participate in general group physical exercise, and is not already a member of another martial art organisation. The classes will begin with warm-up exercises, and then the majority of the time will be devoted to self-defence principles (e.g., alertness and avoidance), self-defence drills (e.g., protecting the face), and martial art exercises (e.g., hitting punching bags). Please note that places will be filled in order of registration. If all available places have been filled, you will still be most welcome to watch the classes as a spectator if there is sufficient room in the hall.     My kids have been doing taekwondo here for the past 2 years and love it! The classes provide a great mix of discipline, cardio and technical as well as teach them self defence and about stranger danger. I was so impressed with what my children were learning that I decided to try out the adult kickboxing classes myself. A year and half into it and I'm absolutely loving it! I would highly recommend innovative martial arts to everyone!

    Our program is gentle and fun for everyone. We focus on age and stage appropriate classes for babies and encourage parents to work at their own comfortable pace. We believe parents make the best teachers. Babies do develop differently in water! They have the potential to swim before they can walk and the researched benefits of infant swimming can be seen throughout our classes.     We teach a non competitive traditional style of Tae Kwon Do. The art is based on Self Defence helping to improve ones confidence, combining this with improved physical strength to not only defend your self but to enable students to become better role models for others.     Great rolemodels for our children

    We have been training at the Armadale Dojang for 4 years now and have seen nothing but the best. The standards are high but it is accessible for everyone. The Instructors are great role models for our children. This is first and foremost the desire we have for our children which can have an effect on their future choices. We feel fortunate to be part of such a wonderful family. Thank you

    Great family training in realistic self defence

    I have been attending this training centre for the past 6 years and have always found the instructors to be very professional and supportive of all members. I like the realistic skills taught for self defence and the culture of the class is very family orientated, though everyone still gets a great workout.
