Horse riding Activities.
The Gums Horse and Pony Club is located at the Marrabel Rodeo Grounds, Marrabel SA. Our members range in age and experience from riders on the lead to juniors and seniors regularly out competing in competitions. We also have a number of Adult riders.

3rd Sunday of each month. Gates open at 9.45 for gear check at 10.00am. Fully staffed canteen. Day finishes around 3pm. Riders must either own their own horse or have a lease agreement signed by both parties concerned. An email is sent out on the morning of our rally if it is or has been raining to let you know if rally will proceed that day or not.

Over the school holidays we offer day camps for kids of any ability. This day is centred around having fun on horseback. It includes picnic ride, games, treasure hunt, bare back riding. Book early for this day.

Riders without Horses Show Jumping Cross Country Dressage Grooming Camps Certificates Rallies are held on the first Sunday of each month unless otherwise stated. From July to September Hexham Recreation Reserve near Mortlake is used and the remained of the year we use Winslow Recreation Reserve. Details are available in the newsletter. Gear check is at 9.40am sharp and the rallies start at 10.00am.
Certificates Cross Country Dressage Grooming Riders without Horses Show Jumping Rally days are held twice a month on Sundays. These days are scheduled at each Monthly Meeting(1st Tuesday of the month) by Senior Instructor and Committee Members around events already programed by the yearly Zone Calendar. Rally days gates open between 9-9.30am. Gear and safety check commences 10.00amFinishing time varies depending on the daily program and weather conditions but usually around 3.00pm
The Derwent Pony Club was first established in 1995 and is based at Kensington Park in New Norfolk with rallies on the third Sunday of every month. Our members are from all over southern Tasmania and vary in age and riding ability. We are a very close knit group with riders, parents and friend always willing to lend a hand.

The club was formed in 1960 and has operated continuously. Members ages range from 2 years to 65 years. We cater for riders of all levels of ability and encourage them to experience the many and varied riding disciplines. We actively encourage our junior riders and have very experienced instructors.
