The award-winning Flight Centre Cycle Epic is a great mountain biking tradition that began in 2002 with a bunch of mates challenging themselves on a 117km epic trail ride. In 2003, the inaugural Australian mountain bike marathon started a new era in the sport.
Over the past 13 years, the EPIC has gone through multiple evolution’s, most recently due to the 2011 floods which destroyed much of the track infrastructure. The track-building team have worked hard to develop extensive tracks of an international standard – creating rides that cater for different ages and skill levels.
THIS YEARS EPIC:
The EPIC weekend now has something for everyone, from the novice riders, runners and walkers through to the professionals of each discipline, offering eight races and several categories to challenge and reward riders and runners alike.
The 2016 EPIC promises to be the biggest and best yet! Be a part of this iconic event, register early and join in the festivities.
The 14th Flight Centre Cycle and Trail Run Epic will take place on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 September 2016.

Had my first lesson today with Tania and I had so much fun and loved every minute of it! Dexter was such a gentleman to ride, I absolutely loved him. It's such a beautiful place out at Alba View and I've finally found a place where I'm comfortable and would love to keep coming back to to become a good rider. Thank you so much Tania!
Alba view review
Have to say, Tania has the patience of a saint. My 9 year old twins with their first ever ride on a horse was not an easy ask, but Tania was great. Both girls are desperate to do a return visit and we are looking forward to the next school holidays for the full day sessions. Location is easy to find, plenty of space and lessons cover most aspects of caring for a horse. Thank you so much Tania, we will be seeing you again soon.
Alba view is the best thing that could ever happen to my daughter. The horses are beautiful and calm and Tania is the best instructor with so much experience with horses and kids alike. The arena is well maintained and very safe! The kids learn not only how to ride the gorgeous horses but also how to care for the horses, brushing them down, feeding etc. My daughters confidence and happiness since starting riding a year ago can be contributed to her time at Alba View. The school holiday programs offer so much fun and a great experience every child should have!
Best Horse Riding Lessons
My daughter has been horse crazy for months now since taking up horse riding lessons with Tania. She now has a 'take charge' attitude when it comes to riding and caring for the horses which is all thanks to her weekly (sometimes more) group lessons with Tania. Alba View is a safe environment (full of animals - not just horses) that my daughter loves to be around. If any parent is looking for an after school or school holiday activity for their kid to do, this is hands down the best we've experience so far. Thanks Tania.

Rasa is a fantastic trainer. She has been flexible for my 7 year old who needed to do a morning lesson before school on Fridays. Cost is also competitive and worth it for the Great service.
My daughter has been having lessons for a while now but it's only since she started under Rasa's tutoring that I have really seen her blossom. She is a spirited child but she is so happy and focused when riding at Hartwood. Rasa has been so amazing at being able to pinpoint what she needs from week to week.
