Ran by children take half anhour to bring out food or they just forget.. the place is never clean and its expensive compared to the decent play centres ive been to..

We refer to it as kidz hell

    16-07-2014 by Katie

A bit extreme I know, but we came in summer and the air conditioners weren't working. That's understandable - things stop working from time to time. However, the man working there was constructing oscilating fans in the cafe area. He got up to serve a customer and left several tools and screws, screwdrivers etc on the floor in front of the ice cream fridge (clearly a place that will attract little children). Two kids came up and started playing with the tools so I had to take them off them. The place STUNK, was poorly maintained, staff had a bad attitude, understaffed, expensive... TERRIBLE!

    Horrible

    27-05-2014 by Jodie

I went to this centre a few weeks ago and it was just gross. I waited at the door to pay my entry fee for around 15 minutes with a screaming toddler in the pram keen for a play. Once inside the equipment was dirty and held together with tape. I took a look around and figured the standards for the centre were lax and it probably wasn't being cleaned properly. Pair that with snotty, unsupervised kids drooling on toys and I grabbed my little guy and left. Will never go back. Gross.

How Maria Montessori made teaching more practical

Maria Montessori was an Italian physician and educator who developed a pedagogy which is now worldwide. The Montessori Method is generally based on the idea that children learn best when the environment supports their natural desire to acquire skills and knowledge. This approach fosters children's love of learning and encourages independence by providing activities and materials which children use at their own pace. One of the major aims of Montessori education is to empower the child to ac...

    Returning

    16-09-2018 by judy gibb

Have enrolled my grandson for October in Armadale . I took him to it at Oakford and he really loved it but had to cease because of circumstances. I love that its more organised than the ordinary playgroups where kids run around crazy. There is more structure at Montoressi. Which makes it more peacefull.

Answer from Peaceful Rooms Montessori Centre on 18-09-2018:
That is so true Judy! I often explain to families that we don't structure the time (as is often the case in non-Montessori settings with children being told what to do, when, and for how long), but we do structure the environment to create a sense of order. This allows children to make their own choices about what they will do and for how long, which is more peaceful for all! I can't wait to have your precious family join us again in our cute new home. Not long to go now! x Alana.

    A relaxed and peaceful environment

    07-04-2018 by Janis

I have been attending Peaceful Rooms Montessori Playgroup for two terms now with my son’s who just turned two and four months. Alana has truly created a peaceful environment where children are free to explore the beautiful activities and Montessori materials at their own pace. My two year old is engaged from the time we arrive until we leave, and I’m sure he would stay longer if he could. My four month old loves relaxing under the Munari mobile and watching the older children play. It has also been an opportunity for me to learn more about the Montessori approach.

Answer from Peaceful Rooms Montessori Centre on 09-04-2018:
Janis thank you so much for letting us know about your experience, it is lovely to know what you and the kiddies are getting from being part of our Montessori community. I look forward to many more terms ahead with your lovely family! x Alana.

    Fantastic Playgroup

    10-01-2017 by Leigh

I started this playgroup with some basic Montessori knowledge, and Alana was always great at helping me figure out how to teach the kids to use the toys/activities/jobs. Peaceful Rooms playgroup is great safe space for newbies like me and those who have used Montessori as a model for educating their children from a newborn stage. The space is beautiful and the other mums are so friendly. I love it and will keep coming back.

    Playgoup Fun

    09-11-2017 by Emma Duffield

I've attended playgroup with my son for 2 years at Canning Vale and its been a really positive experience for us. Great facilities and toys, and a safe environment where you can relax while the kids play. Our group had a great bunch of parents and grandparents who were great to chat 'life' with. We did weekly craft activities so the kids had something to take home and the fees are by far cheaper than any other planned activity per term. Highly recommend for all families

Canningvale playgroup has a great overall structure. I Iike there is a roster in place so everyone has a go. Its a great fascility too with an indoor and outdoor play area.. Maybe some stools could go into the toilets for kiddies so easier to step up to wash hands and toilets themselves. Other than that my kida love the playgroup!

    5 stars for Gymbaroo Joondalup

    14-03-2017 by Jen

My daughter first attended Gymbaroo when she was 3 months old and continued until she finished the School Readiness program. The staff and program were outstanding. I certainly credit Gymbaroo for establishing good foundations for my daughter to have a successful transition to schooling, both in the classroom and for sports. We love Gymbaroo and would highly recommend the Joondalup centre to all parents.

    Pre-school skills

    08-02-2017 by Katie Wild

We have been very lucky to have attended classes at the Joondalup centre for many years with our 3 children. Each child has completed the full course of Gymbaroo and our youngest graduated 2016. During a teacher parent interview the teacher commented on how well adjusted to Kindy she was and how she followed instructions, would sit quietly, ask questions and pay attention appropriately. The teacher suggested her exposure to the Gymbaroo program had enabled her smooth transition into the school learning environment. The teachers and staff at the Joondalup centre have all been fantastic in caring for my children and guiding them in their development. Although my children didn't meet typical developmental milestones this was no hindrance and the program enabled us to work on the areas they needed to strengthen. I highly recommend Joondalup Gymbaroo to other families.

Answer from Gymbaroo (Joondalup) on 08-02-2017:
Thanks for taking the time to review our centre! It's great to hear how well the children settle into the school environment once they finish at GymbaROO.

    Best jump centre out!

    27-10-2014 by Danielle Richards

Extremely friendly and happy staff. Been there heaps of times now and it would be a crime for me not to leave such a glowing review. Kids are always supervised and the staff and management are nothing but helpful and cheerful. My kids tend to shed a tear when we leave and have even asked if they could live their instead!! Haha. Such a lovely centre, I'll definitely be back, and so will all my friends!

    Too expensive!!

    18-08-2014 by Sarah

What a joke - paying a full $15 for my 2.5 year old, and then $15 for the supervising adult, and then the socks on top - $34 for one hour of a trampoline, bouncy castle and foam pit? And then being told we couldn't access certain areas during our one hour session due to a party? The most expensive bouncy castle I have ever paid for, teenage unhelpful staff, we won't be back.
