We are South Australia's only astronomical society and have been established for 120years. We have over 500 members and regularly hold public viewing nights at a variety of locations. We take bookings for school viewing nights, when we can come to you- and private bookings for people to come to our observatory site at Stockport, 60km north of Adelaide. The Wollongong Amateur Astronomy Club has monthly meetings on the first Thursday of each month, except for January, at the Unanderra Community Centre at 7.30 PM. All are welcome to attend. ASWA’s new Junior Section for kids aged 11+ is starting in February 2014. There’ll be lots to learn about telescopes, the moon, sun, planets and beyond. Throughout the year we’ll do indoor activities and night-time observing challenges, including the Lunar 100 and the Messier Catalogue.
