Happily Heffalump art classes will continue next year with theory and colour projects each week. We will practice special effects, perspective, anatomy and animation techniques. The colour projects will be playing with European water colour, Ink stone and ink stick on bamboo papers, oil and chalk pastels. Acrylic, goauche paint for cartoons. Kids Up Front run after school drama classes for children throughout the North Shore, Ryde, Inner West and Hills District in Sydney. Our after school drama lessons for junior students (Kindy to Year 2) participate in a themed lesson performed for each other each week. Our senior students (Year 3 +) develop performance skills in the first half of the year through improvisation drama games and scene work. In the second half of the year they collaborate with their teacher on a group devised piece to be performed at a real theatre. For many of our students this is the highlight of their year as they shine on stage in front of a live audience. Working together in drama means listening to each other and accepting and extending each others ideas thus helping children develop good social skills and confidence in presenting their own ideas. Developing confidence, creativity and communication skills are very important life skills whatever path in life they choose to take. This allows the student to be free and creative, also to enjoy what they are painting, whilst developing decision making skills, and building self-belief and esteem, this enables them to gain personal growth. A basic materials list is required, children work with acrylic paints on canvas. My teaching style has aided me many students of all ages, (from 5 yo to adult) many to win awards, further arts study and/or to become selling artists.
