The name Taekwon-Do is derived from the Korean word "Tae" meaning foot, "Kwon" meaning fist and "Do" meaning way of. Taekwon-Do literally means "The way of the foot and fist". Taekwon-Do consists of many parts. Sparring is only one part of the Art of Taekwon-Do. This event is a great opportunity for students to put into practice techniques and combinations learnt during class. Sparring (Matsogi in Korean) is a great way for students to gain confidence and utilise their Taekwon-Do skills in "real time" scenarios without fear of being injured. There is a lot planned for the night, suitable for beginners and all ages. If you are keen to learn Taekwon-Do come along and try out on our sparring night. Contact us to find out more information.

The Wollongong-Illawarra Choir / Vocal Ensemble runs weekly in West Wollongong every Thursday night 7:30pm-8:30pm – within each NSW school term. It is open to anyone, ages 17 and up. Any level of experience is welcome. It is only $10 for your first visit, and only $5 thereafter billed for the remainder of the current term (1 to 11 weeks). Laser Sporting is surprisingly athletic and a huge amount of fun. The difference between League and regular Laser Tag, is that you get to experience Laser Tag as part of an organised 5 person team. Your team will develop good communication and technical skills throughout the 10 week season to become a cohesive unit by finals time. 1st Division League caters for intermediate and advanced skill levels, and ages 13 years to adult. It is recommended that players start by attending one of our Masterclass events, however this is not a prerequisite. The learning curve is steep, but you will be learning from the best in the business! We utilise a unique handicapping system that automatically grades players on performance, and then gives each team a % handicap on their team scores based upon the experience level of the players on the team. The system has proven successful in giving all teams a chance no matter what experience level they might be.

Laser Sporting is surprisingly athletic and a huge amount of fun. It's perfect for kids who are not into traditional sports and a great way to get kids active. The difference between Junior League and regular Laser Tag, is that you get to experience Laser Tag as part of an organised team. By the completion of your first season you will have developed new skills, and developed your ability to work within a team. Junior League caters for ages 8 to 14, so it's the first stepping stone into the world of laser sporting. We have a number of experienced players who administer the league and help guide new players as they develop their Laser Tag skills. Junior League is played on a Wednesday night from 4pm to 6pm at 561 Gympie Rd, Lawnton. The season runs for 10 weeks during school term and breaks for school holidays. $12pp per week

Advanced Youth Drama (10-17yrs) The advanced Acting course for teens, is specifically designed for those that have a passion, drive & an enthusiasm for Acting. The course is only open to those with previous experience, and all students must pass through the audition process to gain a place in this course. Auditions are held twice a year. All students must attend 80% of all classes and be prepared to make a two-term commitment. Please take time to consider your own circumstances carefully before auditioning for the course. This class is recognition of talent and dedication by the participants, but cannot be taken as a stand-alone class. All participants must make a commitment to Point Break Drama, and agree to continue in at least one other Youth acting class, at Point Break Drama to qualify.
