Mountain Bike: Mini Epic 4.2km, Minor Epic 11.5km Chaser 22.3km Kids racing along with the FREE Family Fun ride 4.2km Trail Run: 4.2km - 11.5km and 22.3km When: Saturday, 10 September – Sunday, 11 September 2016 Where: Spicers Hidden Vale – Hidden Vale Adventure Park (HVAP) What: Flight Centre Cycle and Trail Run Epic 2016 Race Options: Cycle Epic – 87km, 50km, 20km, 11.5km and 4.2km and Free Family Fun Ride (4.2km) Trail Run Epic – 4.2km, 11.5km and Half Marathon distance The award-winning Flight Centre Cycle Epic is a great mountain biking tradition that began in 2002 with a bunch of mates challenging themselves on a 117km epic trail ride. In 2003, the inaugural Australian mountain bike marathon started a new era in the sport. Over the past 13 years, the EPIC has gone through multiple evolution’s, most recently due to the 2011 floods which destroyed much of the track infrastructure. The track-building team have worked hard to develop extensive tracks of an international standard – creating rides that cater for different ages and skill levels. THIS YEARS EPIC: The EPIC weekend now has something for everyone, from the novice riders, runners and walkers through to the professionals of each discipline, offering eight races and several categories to challenge and reward riders and runners alike. The 2016 EPIC promises to be the biggest and best yet! Be a part of this iconic event, register early and join in the festivities.
