Nice instructor but difficult to manage

    17-08-2017 by Ki

I sent my little girl to the class from 1.5yrs and continued for 1year, but she did not like to learn swimming and so never get better. So I decided to stop the class and maybe come back later when she gets older. Most instructors are nice and experienced. Communication with receptionists are generally effective through email, but difficult to move to another time or day/ to organise make up class. Everytime when i ask for makeup class , they said it is all filled out. Or emailing a day before the wanted day then they can tell me whether it is available or not. As being busy mum, it was not easy all the time. I ended up to waste 6 makeup class and canceled the class. Apperantly it did not work for me. I feel like wasting 1year time, money and effort. You can have better experience if your child is happy to participate in the class.

Answer from Shapland Swim Schools Sinnamon Park on 20-09-2017:
Thank you for your review. It is very true an unahppy child will prevent any learning. Our make ups are free and do not have a 'use by' date as many schools do. But they do depend on parents letting us know they will be absent from their classes. When you are ready to try again please contact me, Pamela and I will personally see that can use your missed make up lessons.

We've been taking our daughter to Hampton Swim School since she was 6 months old and we love it. She is now 2 yo and has grown so confident in the water and I could see how the classes helped her to develop her motor skills across the years. Recommend it for every parent! north lakes aquatic centre provides outstanding swim lessons!

    16-07-2014 by Emma Keary

Great price for a great service. My children have learned all they need to know about swim and survive skills, within a fun and safe environment. The instructors were friendly and really knew how to communicate with my young children. I had previously been to various other swimming schools within the area, and was very disappointed with the service provided. North Lakes have really made learning to swim a rewarding experience for not only my children, but as a parent also. I can finally feel confident in my children's abilities when in and around the water whether it'd be at our home or even the beach. Thank-you North Lakes Aquatic Centre for providing my children with a gift for life!

    Very disappointing!

    07-10-2016 by Sheree Smith

Extremely upset with the current treatment from Jess at Dipadees. I have been swimming my two children there for almost 5 years (since they were 5 months) taking a short break due to having a third baby. Recently asked for a Nippers document to be signed. I was told not a problem to bring it in person and Jess is happy to sign. When I got there I was made to feel like an inconvenience, they had no time for me, had to ask a few times for Jess to even come out and then said she wouldn't sign it. Sent a civilized email when I got home and also requested certificates that my children haven't received, no reply so sent a follow up email a week later, 2 weeks on and still no reply. Very frustrated and disappointed with the way I have been treated. Needles to say my children will not be returning to this swim school.

Answer from Dipadees Swim School, Tumbletastics & Dipadees Dance on 09-10-2016:
Hello Sheree, I'm extremely sorry you have had such a bad experience. Usually with the signing of certificates, unless it is the child's teacher who knows the child's swimming ability at the time we do need to see the child in the water. This is for safety reasons, we don't want to sign off on a child saying they can perform certain skills unless we know for sure this is correct. Especially as children deskill quickly if they stop swimming. We really need to be sure by assessing. I am truly sorry that our team didn't let you know we would need to see your swimmer in action before signing off on the certificate. Perhaps in the past he was signed off by his swimming teacher? I'm not sure why you haven't received a reply and apologise for this, I will be investigating the issue of non reply and making sure our team members know the correct procedure for certificate signing. Kind regards Barbara Nolan
