Windsurfing Western Australia organises windsurfing events for sailors of all skill levels and windsurfing disciplines from chasing the perfect wave through to the adrenalin rush of speed sailing. In addition to organising events, the main aim of WWA is to bring all of WA's windsurfers together under one body to promote and develop windsurfing in Western Australia. WWA also provides a voice for windsurfers in maintaining access to sailing spots which are increasingly coming under pressure.

Royal Showgrounds, Claremont, WA 6010

Very expensive and not worth it

19-02-2017

Compared to other riding centres in Perth, Claremont Showgrounds is probably the last resort. I used to ride there every Thursday after school, it was only a 30 minute lesson and you hardly learnt anything. The instructors were very patient if you were a nervous rider, but the horses and ponies were literally whacked with the whips. The lessons were over expensive, I paid $45 just for 30 minutes, and if you were late they didn't give you the time you missed, you had the remaining time you arranged and didn't get any money back. Most of the horses were very lazy and didn't have much character and when I first started I couldn't afford a helmet, so I used the ones provided, I ended up getting lice from wearing the helmet just for one lesson. There are many more better riding places out there, just because some of them are closer to the city doesn't mean they are the best quality ones.
