    The Moonee Valley Knights soccer club has a proud history. As a community soccer club and developed into a very successful team during the late 80's and early 90's. The club has developed players that were young local and from all over the world. we started to rebuild around these young players and have brought up the club , we have also developed a good size junior squad (approx. 100 players) that range from under 10 to under 14's. Currently, we run 3 squads (Seniors, Reserves, and Thirds). All squads are open age, but most of our players are in their early to late 20's Our home ground is based in Fairbairn Park, woods st Ascot Vale. All our training sessions are held here on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm. During the 15 weeks of pre-season will either be held at the club or around Melbourne depending on the requirements (I.e. time trials, 1000 steps etc.). The plan is to start pre-season training in December for 15 weeks. The club already has a fitness & conditioning coach. I have seen them develop from 8yrs old to 16yrs old and the change is amazing!     Kiwi Hawthorn Junior Rugby Club has been a very welcoming and inclusive club for our 4yr old son in his first year of rugby union. Communication and coaching has been great and even though our 4yr old is the youngest in the team by a few years, coaches have found ways to include him in games so that he enjoys and looks forward to each game..

    Found this little gem of a club two years ago, when the Junior teams were being re-established. I'm so glad we did, as we have found it to be a wonderfully welcoming, friendly and inclusive club. Both our kids (1 boy, 1 girl) are playing now, and both myself and partner are volunteering. Both contact and non-contact forms of rugby are offered, so kids of all ages and abilities can play. Can highly recommend joining the Kiwi Hawthorn Juniors.

    Rugby in Victoria is a very inclusive sport which welcomes people of all shapes, sizes, sexes and abilities. The Kiwi Hawthorn Junior Rugby Club is the greatest example of that you could hope to find. The club caters for girls and boys, having pioneered the girls competition and also provides contact and non-contact versions for boys and girls - all in an atmosphere of fun with a real community atmosphere. If you are looking for a junior sport for your kids, Kiwi Hawthorn Rugby is about as good as it gets.
