    Brighton Playroom

    19-12-2017 by Alexandra Versluys

My daughter has been attending BP this year and this was her first time in care. The first few times she was absolutely fine as it was all so new, then it started ‘Mummy was leaving’. The way the staff handle her anxiety with me leaving was so comforting. I knew she was in good hands. I got a phone call or email to say she has settled down and was fine. The staff are amazing, new activities daily on arrival, toys that your child may love they provide. Eg if your child loves trucks on her or his day on a Thursday- trucks are out! Eating together as a group, learning to be kind to each other, to share. Then outdoor play which the kids love- the staff teaching them imaginary play. We love BP- and we love the staff!!

The patience you have all shown has allowed out late swimmer to catch up with his peers faster than I could have hoped. I always appreciate how welcome we feel from every teacher we interact with even from other classes who don't know us. You run a great business and friendly classes.

    kids swimming lessons

    24-07-2015 by Julie

My son has been swimming here for a number of years - started when he was a baby right through to 5 years. The lessons are well structured and cater for each child's ability. We have had some wonderful teachers; not only do they keep the little ones entertained, they teach them all the basics of water safety as well as teaching them to swim! I agree with the other reviewers that the change rooms are small but hopefully that will change once the renovations are up and running. A very friendly and family focused atmosphere.

    Swimming lessons

My daughter loves lessons at this swim clinic. They actually teach the kids to swim which funnily enough my last swim school (Richmond rec) didnt seem to do. They dont use floatation aids too much so kids ar forced to feel the water and actually learn to float themselves. My 3 year old is already dog paddling 5 or so metres and she has only been going 2 terms. I can highly recommend this school.

How to make the first day of swimming lessons more enjoyable

Whether your child has participated in infant and toddler swimming classes or family fun swims at the local pool, the first day of swimming lessons can often prove to be a little intimidating. It can be difficult for a parent to watch your little one scream and cry as soon as they approach the class let alone enter the pool. There are children who take to the water straight-off and others may take a few lessons, even up to a couple of months before they start to feel comfortable in the water. ...

How swimming helps build confidence in children

Sports and physical activity, like swimming, are an excellent way to build confidence in kids; it gives them independence, teaches them about success and failure, and moulds them into confident little swimmers. Learning to float, kick, and tread water on their own helps in instilling the idea that they can accomplish anything with hard work.
