    We have been training at the Armadale Dojang for 4 years now and have seen nothing but the best. The standards are high but it is accessible for everyone. The Instructors are great role models for our children. This is first and foremost the desire we have for our children which can have an effect on their future choices.     I have been attending this training centre for the past 6 years and have always found the instructors to be very professional and supportive of all members. I like the realistic skills taught for self defence and the culture of the class is very family orientated, though everyone still gets a great workout.

    First Tae Kwon Do Thornlie teaches a non-competitive style of martial arts which ingrains students of any age with strong values of discipline, respect and perseverance through the commitment and dedication shown by the instructors at the branch. There is a strong family atmosphere at Thornile with many of the students and instructors being family members as well as a range of ages from 5 years old to 50 years old.     My 2 youngest daughters joined First Taewkondo Thornlie over a year ago . It was highly recommended from a friend . We wanted our daughters to be strong in both body and mind , as well as build self confidence. They are growing and developing new skills all the time . They have developed great self confidence and discipline. They love challenging their physical abilities on a regular basis and setting new goals. I also joined with my daughters just over 6 months ago , and thoroughly enjoy the challenge. Instructor Beard , and all the black belt instructors are truly amazing ,helpful and very approachable, with a great knowledge of the art . Thank you

    I can not say enough good about First Taekondoe.. From the very first time I walked my daughter in at the age of 13 we have all as a family felt very welcome. I wanted my daughter to have somewhere to go where she could enjoy exercising and feel comfortable.. My expectations were exceeded with her developing a lot of self discipline and confidence which has followed on in her every day life. The feeling of belonging to something out of school and family home has been wonderful too :) 3 years on and we are still happy

    My kids who are 8 & 5 do Taekwondo training under the guidance of Instructor Adam Beard. They learn not only self defense but discipline, to respect each other, self confidence, Leadership & many more. Instructors are always been very helpful approachable and worked well with both my kids. It's good for the whole family to get fit and I'm waiting until my youngest turn 5 so he and I both can join First Taekwondo. I can highly recommend First Taekwondo Thornlie to anyone.

    On Tuesday, 9th February, 2016, First Tae Kwon Do Nedlands will be providing free introductory self-defence classes at the John Leckie Pavilion in Nedlands. The children's class will be from 5:30-6:30 PM and the adults' class (including adolescents) will be from 6:30-7:30 PM. You will not need to bring anything; just wear a t-shirt and tracksuit pants, or other suitable general sports clothing. These introductory classes are open to anyone (aged 6 years+) who is able to participate in general group physical exercise, and is not already a member of another martial art organisation. The classes will begin with warm-up exercises, and then the majority of the time will be devoted to self-defence principles (e.g., alertness and avoidance), self-defence drills (e.g., protecting the face), and martial art exercises (e.g., hitting punching bags). Please note that places will be filled in order of registration. If all available places have been filled, you will still be most welcome to watch the classes as a spectator if there is sufficient room in the hall.     My kids have been doing taekwondo here for the past 2 years and love it! The classes provide a great mix of discipline, cardio and technical as well as teach them self defence and about stranger danger. I was so impressed with what my children were learning that I decided to try out the adult kickboxing classes myself. A year and half into it and I'm absolutely loving it! I would highly recommend innovative martial arts to everyone!
