Our 9yo daughter has been attending Red Dragon classes for 12months now and WOW we are impressed! She loves it!!! Her focus, attention span, respecting other people's personal space and co-ordination has improved immensely. She is on the spectrum and the way Damien, Hannah and their team handle the different personalities and skill abilities is amazing. They "get" your child and teach accordingly. Chloe has been accepted into the black belt club and she is excited

More than just martial arts
20-07-2017 by James
My son loves attending Southern Cross Martial Arts. He's in his fourth year and learning new things every lesson. The friendly, knowledgeable, instructors and their dedication to teaching the kids more than just how to kick and punch that got me interested in training again after a seven year break. Four years for my son and three years for me and were still learning. I can't recommend SCMA highly enough.

We were looking for an activity to help our son gain confidence and fitness, southern cross martial arts was recommended by a friend and we could not be happier. Our son loves the karate classes which he has been doing for almost two years. In this time he has grown to be a strong confident young man. Can't recommend these guys enough.

10 big mistakes people make when choosing a martial arts school
I love the martial arts, pure and simple. The positive effects that the discipline and training has had on my life, the friends I've made, the experiences I've had all make me the person I am today. And you know what? I can look myself in the eye (in a mirror obviously) and I know there's very little of the journey that I would change. Sadly, not everyone has the same positive experiences. If this article in any way prevents you having a negative experience in the martial arts, and helps you t...
