    The Leap into Literacy holiday program is for students in Years K–6 who want to create their own written masterpiece, all while learning the important aspects of writing. The Create Your Own Book or Short Story holiday program will run from October 2–4 and October 9–11 in Balmain, Drummoyne and Willoughby. Using techniques that allow students to become creative in the learning process, sessions are fun and achieve maximum results. The cost is $60 for two hours, which includes materials and one-on-one feedback from the teacher on their writing, as well as detailed instructions on important writing techniques and help with spelling, grammar, etc. Classes are for Years K-2 and Years 3-6 and are limited to seven students.     I am extremely happy! My child first came to ALA as she was behind in her reading and spelling. After working with my child for 2 terms they have been able to increase her confidence and skills she has now caught up to the rest of the class and loves coming.

    The teachers at Birrung are so kind and helpful. Rachelle was wonderful communicating from my first email and plenty more that followed. The teaching staff remain the same and my child loves attending. She wants me to work more so that she can attend more sessions each week!

    Such a great way to support my twins in preparing for school. They are at long day care three days a week and don't get taught anything educational, which I get. Two mornings a week they attend Birrung and learn so much, they want to go there everyday! Thank you for your energy, passion and support. Highly recommend this place.
