A cadet is a trainee to become a volunteer military officer. Cadet trainees learn about military life, physical and mental skills, drills and ceremonies, and proper military etiquette. Boys Brigade History - The Boys Brigade is a Christian youth organisation founded in 1883 by Sir William Alexander Smith. It was founded on two pillars of Religion and Discipline and is set up to develop Christian manliness by using semi-military discipline, gymnastics, summer camps, and religious services. The first Boys Brigade in Australia was formed in Melbourne in 1890. As of now, there are approximately 500,000 Boys Brigade members in 60 countries.

The Boys Brigade Object is “The promotion of habits of Obedience, Discipline, Self-Respect, and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness”, and its motto is ?Sure and Stedfast”, derived from Hebrews 6:19 of the Bible: “Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast?” it pursues to provide a meaningful and enjoyable program that will balance the educational, physical, social, and spiritual areas of the members' life. It aims lead them into a healthy life dedicated to God?s service by leading a sound Christian lifestyle.

Scouts Australia is a youth organisation for kids and young adults aged 6 to 26. It is part of the worldwide Scouting movement. Scouting was founded in Australia in 1908 by Lord Baden-Powell. Before it used to be just for boys, but starting 1971, they have also been accepting girls.

Cub Scouts, or Cubs, is part of Scouts Australia. It includes boys and girls cubs aged 7 ® to 11. A group of cubs is called a pack, made up of 20 cub scouts or less. The uniforms of the cubs in Australia are navy blue short sleeved shirts with yellow collar, sleeves, and shoulders.

The Girls Brigade is an international Christian youth organisation that started in Dublin, Ireland in 1893. It was founded on two pillars: the Bible class and physical training. Now The Girls Brigade operates in more than 60 countries, including Australia. The first International Conference was held in Australia in 1998, and is held every four years.
